Our College

Aswathaiah Esthuri Sanjeevamma National  Degree College, Gauribidanur, Chikkaballapur District is a Premier Institute of Higher Learning, exclusively dedicated for the education for rural students. This college is started by Padmabhushana Dr.H.N.Narasimhaiah, the former Vice Chancellor of Bangalore University in the year 1964.This college is one of the fifteen institutions, being managed by the National Education Society of Karnataka (Regd),Bangalore. The Society was established in the year 1917 with nationalist ideals as the driving force. The College was started in the year 1964 with a humble strength of  in the Pr-university course and strength I B.A and now it has grown into a leading higher learning institution in General Education. The College has several achievements to its credit in the academic field as well as extracurricular activities.

The College offers courses in B.A,B.Sc. and B.Com. It has well equipped laboratories, a good computerized library and a vast sports field. Opportunities are provided to students to express their talents in Fine Arts and Popular Science. The College campus has a closed Dr.H.N.Silver Jubilee Hall, and an open air a stage attached to it for Cultural Activities, which provide necessary  for nurturing the inherent capabilities of the students.

Dr.H.N.Silver Jubliee Hall is now thrown open to the public and Government functions, when there are cultural events like, dance, drama & music. The computer center (Laboratory) inaugurated in 2007 by the then Honorable Chief Minister Sri.H.D Kumaraswamy which aims at popularizing computer knowledge among the rural students from this college and for other educational institution as well.The College has a dedicated team of teachers and administrative staff, the college hopes to shape itself into a still better center of learning for the benefit of the society. The institution also aims at inculcating values of life and discipline among the students and help them to scale academic heights,thus enabling them to have an overall development of their personality.
